Knowing God Changes Everything
Many of us spend a lot of time trying to trust God.
We try to have more faith.
We try to worry less.
We try to obey Him more consistently.
But often we are trying to start at the wrong place.
Trust does not begin with trying harder.
It begins with knowing God.
The more we know Him, the more we come to understand who He is.
Scripture reveals that God is love.
His will is always good.
His commands are not given to burden us, but to guide us toward life.
Scripture also reveals that God is all-knowing.
He sees what we cannot see.
He understands what we do not understand.
His wisdom is perfect even when our perspective is limited.
And God is all-powerful.
Nothing is too difficult for Him.
He is able to accomplish His purposes and provide what we need to walk in them.
As we begin to know God in this way, something changes.
We begin to trust Him.
When you know someone loves you, it becomes easier to trust their intentions.
When you know someone is wise, it becomes easier to trust their direction.
When you know someone is capable, it becomes easier to trust their leadership.
The same is true with God.
The more we know Him, the more we trust Him.
And the more we trust Him, the more willing we become to obey Him.
Not because we are trying to earn His love.
But because we have come to believe that His way is better than our own.
This is one reason obedience often leads to a deeper knowledge of God.
As we follow Him, we begin to experience His faithfulness firsthand.
We see Him provide.
We see Him guide.
We see Him strengthen us.
We see Him meet needs we could not meet ourselves.
And through those experiences, we come to know Him even more.
Knowing God leads to trusting God.
Trusting God leads to obeying God.
Obeying God leads to experiencing God.
And experiencing God leads us back to knowing Him more deeply.
That is why knowing God changes everything.
It changes how we think.
It changes how we live.
It changes how we face uncertainty.
And it changes how we walk through every circumstance of life.
Because the more we know Him, the more we discover that He is exactly who He says He is.
