Seeking Understanding
For a long time, I thought testimonies were stories you told after the breakthrough.
Lately, I’ve been wondering if they can also be stories told in the middle of the battle.
I thought I’d wait until I had a finished story to tell.
Until I could look back and say, “Here’s what God did.”
But I don’t want to wait to tell what He’s doing just because He isn’t finished yet.
What I’m sharing is not just a testimony of what Christ has done. It is a testimony of what He is doing.
So these writings are an invitation to watch Him shape a life in real time.
Sometimes that means writing after a realization.
Sometimes it means writing while I’m still learning.
Sometimes it means writing from a place I’d rather hide…but if Christ is meeting me there, then perhaps that’s exactly where I should tell the story from.
These writings aren’t transparent for the sake of transparency.
They’re transparent because I don’t want people to see me.
I want them to see through me to Christ.
His patience…
His gentleness…
His faithfulness…
Even with someone He’s not finished with yet.
